March 2nd (Thur) @ 7:30 AM - WSU Predental Club Reelections
(Lind Lecture)
Elections will be held for the new Predental Club presidency. One president and several vice-presidents will be elected. Each Vice-President will have a specific title this year. These positions look great on your Dental School applications and may even be brought up during your interviews. Come even if you're not planning on running for a position to help vote
The clubs that are organized under the college of science (i.e. the pre-dent club) are putting together a service project for St. Anne's Homeless here in Ogden. To make things just a bit different it will be an UNDERWEAR DRIVE. We will also be having a little friendly competition between us and the Health Professions people over in Marriott Health. The idea is to collect more items than they can.
Items needed are:
- Coloring books/Crayons
- Children's clothes (newborn - Age 13) - both boys and girls
- Diapers (size 3-6)
- Socks (boys/girls/men/women
- Sweatpants (men)
- Underwear (boys/girls/men/women)
- Diaper wipes
Let's get out there and get as much as we possibly can! This is a great service opportunity for all of us. Get out and ask around. See what businesses will be willing to donate in any way (clothes or money). There is plenty of businesses that will give to these type of things so you don't have to put any of your own money into it, just your time and effort.
More details will probably come forth later.
It will run through the entire month of February.
February 19th (Fri) - DEADLINE to pay for WSU DAT Review Lecture Circuit
Cost:
$225 - All lecture sessions (BIO, GC, OC, PAT, RC, QR), 7 Full length practice exam proctoring
$50 - Individual Section Lecture Sessions (e.g. BIO or GC or OC....etc)
$20 - Lecture Session (e.g. 1 lecture in BIO series or 1 Lecture in GC series......etc)
Prices include snacks! All monies in full are due by February 19th, 2010.
January 21st (Thur) @ 5:00 pm - WSU Predental Club Meeting
Lind Lecture (LL222)
Welcome back! This will be a general club meeting to get back in the groove. Come with questions if you have any. We will go over a few things we would like to accomplish this semester. We will discuss the DAT Prep course for sure. Come get some food and have some fun (you know it will be a blast)! This would be a good chance to hand in your receipt of payment into the club if you haven't already.
November 24th (Tue) @ 4:00 pm - WSU Predental Club Meeting
Marriott Health Building 101
This will be an application process meeting. We will go over the timeline for applying to Dental School. Claire Hughes, who is with the WSU writing center, will also be coming to offer tips about writing your personal statement and inform us about the services they can provide.
November 3rd (Tue) @ 6:00 pm - WSU Predental Club Meeting
Marriott Health Building 304
We will be going over alternatives to DAT preparatory courses. We will also go over service hours and how to log them properly.
